Processor
The brand-new processor added to the EURO 280 delivers far greater speeds than ever before and still has plenty to spare! With all the features of the old EURO 280, the new generation has much more usability, adaptability and expandability.

The EURO 280 is much more powerful with much more potential and runs much faster to deliver quicker and more accurate data messages between the control panel and its connected devices.

Dual BUS
Featuring a Dual BUS allows the EURO 280 much greater convenience and contingency, by enabling devices to be added in two separate areas. For example, one BUS may cover half of a building, with the other BUS covering the other half. Or the Dual BUS can be utilised to cover, shops, living quarters, an outbuilding, warehouse… however the install requires.

This provides an enhanced security solution as, should an intruder gain entry and cut the power to one BUS, all the devices on the second BUS will still remain wired in and active. This means that, although an alarm will be activated due to the tampering of the system, the intruder may believe they have cut the system from reporting where alarms are being triggered for the entire building, but this is not the case.

Diagnostic LEDs
These deliver total convenience and efficiency to the install, with local indication as to whether the input wired in is in a healthy, alarm or fault state. The diagnostic LEDs can also indicate whether an input is active or inactive and if it has a healthy BUS state.

As any of the eight inputs that can be wired into the EURO 280 could be fitted from 1m to 1,000m away, rather than having to walk to the other end of a building to check status, the diagnostic LEDs allow this all to be achieved locally at the panel – making every install much quicker, convenient and efficient.

3AMP switch mode power supply
The new and improved panel comes with a new and improved battery. This is now smaller and positioned under the PCB, which allows room for additional equipment to be imported inside, such as third party communicators and Pyronix expanders, which makes the system much more adaptable and convenient.

Not only that, but the battery is also much more energy efficient, which saves the user money on their electricity bills.

Electrical Fuses
Rather than having glass fuses that need to be manually changed, the new electrical fuses have the ability to be manually reset. They protect the control panel from any surges of current and while glass fuses break, electrical fuses can be put back into a ready state again. So, if there is any burst of current or voltage, the fuse takes the hit and can be easily and conveniently reset, rather than having to be totally replaced.
